Tourism New Zealand recently concluded its annual two-day Regional Showcase for the trade industry in Sydney. The event, which took place on 21-22 February, allowed 23 of New Zealand’s Regional Tourism Organisations to engage with Australian Product and Marketing Managers from top travel companies. This provided an opportunity for both parties to exchange market insights and information about destinations and products.

During the first day of the Regional Showcase at the Intercontinental Hotel, the focus was on providing the New Zealand industry with a better understanding of the Australian market. Nichola Quail, the founder and CEO of Insights Exchange, led a series of panel sessions sharing their most recent research on consumer trends.

Building Partnerships and Collaborations within the Travel Trade

This was followed by a discussion on aviation with industry experts from Christchurch Airport, Air New Zealand, Qantas, and Three Consulting, as well as a conversation on the significance of ‘Responsible Tourism’ with Intrepid Travel.
