King Charles has attended church in Sandringham in his first public outing since Buckingham Palace announced his cancer diagnosis.
As the King and Queen, the couple acknowledged the crowd by greeting them with a wave while they strolled outside St Mary Magdalene Church.
After the news, the King, who is 75 years old, expressed his gratitude to the people for their support and well wishes.
He stated that individuals impacted by cancer understood that “such kind thoughts” were “the ultimate source of comfort and motivation”.
On Sunday, approximately 100 supporters were present as the King entered the church in Sandringham. He briefly conversed with the Rev Canon Dr Paul Williams.
A group of people assembled near the entrance of the exclusive property, however, they were denied access to the premises – as they are off-limits to the general public until Easter.
King Charles’s persistence: a strong will to continue working despite illness.
In January, the King’s cancer was discovered while he was receiving treatment in London for an enlarged prostate.
The specific kind of cancer has not been revealed, but the Palace stated that it is not prostate cancer.
King Charles has temporarily withdrawn from his public responsibilities to focus on receiving treatment. In his absence, Queen Camilla and the Prince of Wales are fulfilling his duties for certain events.

The tireless care and dedication of others have earned my lifelong admiration, especially because of my own personal experience. Prior to his message on Saturday, the Queen expressed her gratitude and described the support she received during an event at Salisbury Cathedral on Thursday as “very uplifting”.
Prince William additionally conveyed appreciation for the messages of support that were sent to his father and his wife, the Princess of Wales, as she undergoes recovery following her abdominal surgery.
